A group of veteran crypto hedge fund executives is reportedly launching a new $100 million treasury strategy focused on BNB, Binance’s native token — echoing Michael Saylor’s famous Bitcoin playbook.

BNB Treasury Strategy Led by Former Coral Capital Executives

The effort is spearheaded by Patrick Horsman, Joshua Kruger, and Johnathan Pasch, all formerly of Coral Capital Holdings — a venture capital firm acquired by DNA Fund in 2024. According to Bloomberg, these executives aim to finalize the $100 million raise within June 2025, setting the stage for a BNB accumulation strategy.

The newly formed entity, called Build & Build Corporation, plans to go public via Nasdaq listing, making it the first public company dedicated solely to BNB treasury management.

BNB’s Market Position Strengthens the Case

BNB, currently trading around $623, is the fifth-largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $87.8 billion, as per CoinMarketCap. As the utility token of the Binance ecosystem and the native asset of the BNB Beacon Chain, BNB offers both transactional and ecosystem-wide advantages.

Standard Chartered recently predicted that BNB could more than double in 2025, citing growing activity across Binance’s Layer 1 and DeFi platforms.

A Strategic Shift Inspired by MicroStrategy

This BNB-focused strategy closely mirrors MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin accumulation model, led by Michael Saylor, who recently added another 245 BTC worth $26 million to his company’s holdings.

Other firms are also accelerating their crypto treasury strategies:

  • Metaplanet (Japan): Acquired 1,111 BTC this week, now holding 11,111 BTC.
  • 21 Capital: A stealth BTC treasury vehicle backed by Tether, SoftBank, and Bitfinex, with $3.9B in assets.
  • Méliuz (Brazil): Recently became Latin America’s top public Bitcoin holder.

Conclusion: BNB Joins the Treasury Asset Club

With Build & Build Corporation’s move, BNB is now entering the spotlight as a corporate treasury asset, alongside Bitcoin. The success of this initiative could significantly elevate BNB’s institutional profile and open the door for other crypto-native tokens to follow a similar path.

As crypto adoption deepens, strategic treasury accumulation is no longer just about Bitcoin — and BNB may be the next big bet.
