November saw only a handful of major rounds, signaling tightening capital and cautious investor sentiment
Crypto venture funding continued to weaken in November, with activity dominated by a few large, high-profile raises while broader deal flow dropped to one of the lowest levels of the year. Despite several headline-generating rounds, data shows that overall venture participation in the sector remains well below previous market cycles.
Crypto Venture Funding Trends Show Sharp Decline
Figures from sector trackers indicated just 57 disclosed funding rounds in November marking one of the weakest monthly counts of 2025. Capital overwhelmingly flowed to established firms, reinforcing a trend where bigger companies secure most of the available funding, while early-stage startups face tighter access to capital.
Ostium secured $24 million to scale its onchain perpetuals protocol into traditional markets, including stocks and commodities. The funding will reinforce core infrastructure such as smart contracts, pricing systems, and liquidity engines, enabling higher trading volumes. The company is supported by a range of institutional investors.
Axis closed a $5 million private round to advance its onchain yield infrastructure offering exposure to Bitcoin, gold, and U.S. dollar–based yields. More than $100 million in private capital has already been deployed through its beta environment.
PoobahAI Raises $2 Million for No-Code Web3–AI Tools
Texas-based PoobahAI raised $2 million to expand its no-code platform, which allows users to launch tokenized networks and deploy AI agents without technical expertise. The startup aims to support emerging AI-Web3 ecosystems built on decentralized infrastructure.
The continued decline in deal activity underscores a cautious reset across digital-asset venture markets, with investors prioritizing established teams and proven models. As the industry moves into 2026, sustained low volumes may pressure early-stage innovation even as select firms continue to attract significant capital.
