EPXC introduces a cash-secured put-writing strategy to blockchain investors
WisdomTree has taken another step toward merging traditional markets with digital infrastructure through the launch of its Equity Premium Income Digital Fund, known onchain as EPXC. The product brings a long-established options income strategy directly to blockchain rails, highlighting accelerating demand for tokenized investment vehicles.
WisdomTree Tokenized Income Fund Targets Options Premiums
The fund is structured to mirror the performance of the Volos US Large Cap Target 2.5% PutWrite Index, a benchmark that systematically sells cash-secured put options. Instead of writing contracts on the broad index, the strategy uses options tied to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), allowing the fund to collect steady premiums while maintaining collateral to cover potential exercise.
For investors seeking stability, a put-writing approach can deliver a reliable income stream and offer a modest cushion in flat or slightly declining markets. By bringing this model onchain, WisdomTree aims to give both retail and institutional participants access to a strategy traditionally confined to legacy platforms.
The tokenized structure allows EPXC to settle faster and transfer more flexibly than conventional funds, expanding availability to crypto-native users who prefer blockchain-based assets.
Tokenization Momentum Builds Across WisdomTree Products
WisdomTree has become one of the most active asset managers in digital fund development, now operating 15 tokenized products across networks such as Ethereum, Avalanche and Base. Its Government Money Market Digital Fund remains the most widely used, holding more than $730 million in assets.
The firm also recently introduced a tokenized private credit fund, providing blockchain-enabled access to privately originated debt — an area that has seen rapid inflows since launch.
As traditional wealth institutions gradually enter the sector, momentum around onchain investment products continues to grow, reflecting rising interest in tokenization as a complement to existing financial markets.
