Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor said bitcoin remains positioned to significantly outperform traditional equity markets over the coming years, despite recent price volatility. He stated that bitcoin could double or triple the returns of the S&P 500 over a multi-year horizon, emphasizing long-term conviction rather than short-term price movements.
Bitcoin is currently trading below $70,000 after pulling back from highs above $126,000 reached in late 2025. The correction has also pressured Strategy’s stock, though shares have rebounded in recent sessions alongside broader market stabilization.

Bitcoin Treasury Strategy and Holdings
Strategy continues expanding its bitcoin treasury even as market prices remain below its average acquisition cost. The company recently purchased 1,142 BTC for approximately $90 million, bringing total holdings to 714,644 BTC, representing more than 3.4% of bitcoin’s total supply.

Balance Sheet Risk Considered Limited
Company executives stated that Strategy’s balance sheet could withstand extended market weakness. Management indicated that serious financial stress would only emerge if bitcoin declined roughly 90% to near $8,000 and remained at that level for several years, a scenario described as highly unlikely.
Saylor reiterated that bitcoin’s volatility is intrinsic to its appeal as a scarce digital asset. He emphasized that Strategy has no plans to sell its holdings and expects to continue acquiring bitcoin on a recurring basis, framing long-term exposure as central to the company’s capital strategy.
