New partnership seeks to reshape how films, anime, music and other creative assets are financed, managed and distributed through onchain IP tokenization.

An emerging shift in the global entertainment industry is taking place as AI-driven content studios look to blockchain for new ways to fund and manage intellectual property. In a new development, Mugafi, an India-based AI entertainment platform, has entered a strategic partnership with Avalanche to bring large volumes of film, anime, music and multimedia IP directly onchain.

AI Meets Blockchain for Entertainment IP

Mugafi plans to use Avalanche’s infrastructure to tokenize more than 1,000 entertainment properties, enabling creators and studios to raise capital through onchain mechanisms rather than relying on traditional financing routes.

The company’s internal AI tools — trained on extensive script libraries and narrative models — evaluate story concepts and production potential before projects are prepared for tokenized funding, offering a data-driven approach to early-stage development.

The collaboration outlines an immediate pipeline of over $10 million in IP financing, with a long-term ambition to surpass $1 billion in annual throughput. Avalanche views the initiative as a demonstration of how its network can support large-scale real-world asset issuance, a category gaining traction across digital markets.

Building a Global Creative Ecosystem

Launched in 2020, Mugafi has attracted support from major entertainment and technology investors. Its film projects, including the upcoming Kuberaa, have already reached substantial distribution channels. The new onchain model is expected to create more than 1,500 opportunities across AI engineering, production and blockchain operations, spanning India, North America, Japan and Korea.

This move reflects a broader industry trend to anchor intellectual property in decentralized frameworks. Projects across the sector are exploring tokenized rights management, aiming to give creators clearer control over licensing, revenue distribution and derivative use.

The partnership illustrates how AI assessment tools, blockchain transparency and decentralized financing can converge to reshape the way global entertainment properties are produced. As tokenized IP models continue to gain momentum, platforms like Mugafi and Avalanche are positioning themselves at the forefront of a new funding and distribution architecture for digital media.
