Fresh inflows and rising stablecoin liquidity hint at improving market conditions
A Key U.S. Market Signal Flips Green
Bitcoin is showing its first signs of renewed U.S. buying strength after weeks of caution, as the Coinbase Premium Index turns positive for the first time in nearly a month. This metric, which measures the price difference between Coinbase and the broader global market, is often used to track U.S. capital flows into Bitcoin. BTC is currently trading near $91,000, a level that places it between strong technical boundaries.
Coinbase Premium Suggests Return of U.S. Demand
For most of November, the premium remained negative — a sign of U.S. outflows and risk aversion. Its return to positive territory on Thursday indicates an early reappearance of domestic bid strength. Historically, positive readings have aligned with ETF-driven accumulation, improved liquidity, and renewed institutional participation.
At the same time, stablecoin reserves on Binance reached a record $51.1 billion, suggesting growing capital sitting on the sidelines, potentially preparing to re-enter the market. Options desks likewise report a reset in positioning, with speculative longs flushed out and volatility skew normalizing, creating what analysts describe as a “market ready for growth” environment.
BTC is still constrained between major levels. Analysts note that $90,000 may now act as resistance, while bulls need a decisive break above $95,000 to regain upward momentum. On the downside, a fall below $87,000 could reopen the path toward $80,000, extending last month’s corrective phase.
Market sentiment has improved modestly, with the index rising to 25, lifting the market out of extreme fear. However, breadth remains thin: only a small fraction of major assets recorded gains, highlighting that the rebound is still narrow despite a total crypto market cap near $3.1 trillion.
