Key support and resistance levels shape next move as traders eye $120K test
Bitcoin (BTC) is showing signs of renewed strength after breaking out of a falling channel pattern on the daily chart, trading around $116,100 at press time. The move comes after weeks of consolidation that saw the world’s largest cryptocurrency test lower support zones near $112,000.

The chart indicates that BTC has respected a downward-sloping channel since mid-August, repeatedly testing both support and resistance. Friday’s breakout above the upper trendline suggests growing bullish momentum, with the next key resistance located between $120,000 and $122,000 — marked by a supply zone highlighted in red.
On the downside, analysts point to the $108,000–$110,000 green demand zone as the most critical support area. “As long as Bitcoin holds this zone, the technical structure remains bullish,” said BITX analysts. “A clean retest followed by higher lows could fuel another rally.”
Trading volume has remained steady, though not at the levels seen during July’s breakout past $110,000. This indicates that while buyers are active, a decisive push above $120,000 will require stronger participation.
“If BTC clears $120K with convincing volume, we could see an extension toward $124K and beyond,” According to BITX market strategist. “Failure to break that level risks a pullback back into the channel.”
The breakout comes as broader crypto sentiment improves, with many traders seeing the recent consolidation as healthy. Institutional demand and long-term accumulation remain intact, suggesting that the current setup could pave the way for a sustained uptrend.
For now, Bitcoin’s path hinges on whether bulls can flip $120K into support. A successful breakout could confirm a continuation of the broader bullish cycle, while rejection may return the market to its consolidation range.
