Young investors favor low-risk crypto products as tokenized income assets surge in 2025
Brazil’s cryptocurrency market is undergoing a structural shift as Generation Z investors redefine how digital assets are used. Rather than chasing extreme volatility, young Brazilians are increasingly adopting stablecoins and tokenized fixed-income products as safer entry points into crypto, signaling a maturing investment culture.
Gen Z Leads Crypto Adoption in Brazil
Investors under the age of 24 represent the fastest-growing segment of Brazil’s crypto user base, with participation rising sharply year over year. This group is gravitating toward low-volatility digital assets, prioritizing capital preservation and predictable returns over speculation. Stablecoins and tokenized income products have become their preferred tools for entering the market.
Digital fixed-income products locally referred to as Renda Fixa Digital allow users to invest in tokenized portions of real-world income-generating assets. In 2025 alone, distributions from these products reached approximately 1.8 billion Brazilian reals ($325 million). Returns averaged 132% of Brazil’s benchmark risk-free rate, highlighting strong demand for yield with reduced risk.
Other Brazilian platforms are also expanding access to blockchain-based fixed-income instruments, reinforcing the country’s leadership in real-world asset tokenization.
Investment strategies vary notably by income. Middle-income investors allocate a portion of their portfolios—up to 12%—to stablecoins, while maintaining the majority in tokenized bonds and similar assets. In contrast, lower-income participants place over 90% of their crypto exposure in traditional assets like bitcoin, reflecting a higher tolerance for risk in pursuit of outsized returns.
With overall crypto transaction volumes rising more than 40% year over year and weekly usage patterns becoming consistent, cryptocurrency in Brazil is evolving from speculation into a regular financial tool, especially among younger generations.
