Moca Chain, a newly launched Layer-1 blockchain backed by Animoca Brands, is set to transform how digital identities are managed, verified, and protected. Built for decentralized identity and data authentication, the network focuses on giving users, devices, and AI agents full control over their credentials, eliminating dependence on centralized entities.

Purpose-Built Blockchain for Identity Management

Launched by the Moca Foundation, Moca Chain is engineered to support privacy-preserving protocols that verify both onchain and offchain user data. The project introduces a robust framework that ensures individuals can manage their digital identities securely and independently.

The network is scheduled to launch its testnet in Q3 2025, with mainnet deployment expected in Q4 2025. Its infrastructure will use the MOCA token for transaction fees, validator staking, data verification, and oracle services.

“Users deserve sovereignty over their digital identity without relying on centralized points of failure,” said a foundation representative.

Advanced Technology with Cross-Chain Interoperability

Moca Chain integrates cutting-edge zero-knowledge proof technologies, including ZK-TLS (Zero-Knowledge Transport Layer Security), to authenticate user data privately and securely. The blockchain is also EVM-compatible, allowing smooth integration with Ethereum and other EVM-based chains.

A key innovation is its decentralized identity oracle, enabling the verification of user data across blockchains while maintaining privacy and compliance.

Massive Early Reach Through AIR Kit Integration

The Moca Foundation also introduced AIR Kit, a software development kit (SDK) that allows apps to integrate decentralized identity functions. AIR Kit is already used by prominent partners, including:

  • OK Cashbag, South Korea’s top loyalty rewards program with over 28 million verified users
  • One Football, a sports platform with over 200 million monthly active users

These integrations position Moca Chain with an addressable market of over 700 million users, providing early applications built on the chain with immediate scalability and trust.

Shaping the Future of Identity in Web3

Moca Chain’s focus on privacy, interoperability, and identity sovereignty represents a significant advancement for the Web3 ecosystem. By eliminating the vulnerabilities of centralized SSO (Single Sign-On) systems, it offers a secure and scalable identity infrastructure for global applications.

As demand for user-owned digital identity grows, Moca Chain is well-positioned to lead the shift toward decentralized, verifiable identity systems across industries.
