The AI agent, known as Lobstar Wilde, was designed to grow $50,000 in Solana into $1 million through automated trading.
However, a single transaction wiped out its entire balance after it sent approximately 52.4 million LOBSTAR tokens valued at $441,780 at the time to a wallet address shared by a user asking for 4 SOL.

Solana Decimal Error Suspected in $441K Transfer

Blockchain observers speculate that the agent may hve intended to send 52,439 tokens but misread the token interface, leading to a decimal miscalculation. The recipient later sold a portion of the tokens for roughly $40,000. Market data indicates the LOBSTAR token price subsequently surged nearly 190%, amplifying the scale of the mistake.

Growing Debate Over AI Agents in Crypto Trading

The incident adds to concerns about autonomous trading systems in digital asset markets. Earlier this year, another AI-powered crypto bot suffered a six-figure loss after its dashboard was compromised.

Despite setbacks, industry leaders such as Jeremy Allaire and Changpeng Zhao continue to argue that AI agents will play a central role in the future of blockchain-based financial systems.
