David Sacks Concludes 130-Day Term as Trump Crypto and AI Adviser

David Sacks has completed his 130-day tenure as crypto and artificial intelligence adviser under Donald Trump, transitioning into a broader technology advisory role within the White House.

New Role in President’s Technology Advisory Council

Following the completion of his formal term, Sacks will serve as co-chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). In this position, he will continue shaping policies across artificial intelligence, crypto, healthcare, and quantum computing. The advisory group will include prominent technology leaders such as Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg, Lisa Su, Larry Ellison, Marc Andreessen, and Michael Dell.

During his time as crypto and AI adviser, Sacks contributed to the development of a 166-page digital asset policy report and supported the rollout of an artificial intelligence framework focused on innovation and workforce development. He also played a role in advancing stablecoin legislation such as the GENIUS Act and advocating for broader crypto market structure proposals, including the CLARITY Act.

Focus on Unified AI Regulation

A central priority for PCAST will be addressing fragmented state-level regulation. Sacks emphasized the need for a unified national framework to simplify compliance for technology developers and ensure consistent oversight across emerging industries.
