ETF Outflows Signal Weak Institutional Demand

One major factor weighing on Ether is the continued outflow from U.S.-listed spot Ether exchange-traded funds. Since March 18, these funds recorded approximately $298 million in net outflows, marking six consecutive trading sessions of redemptions. This trend suggests that institutional investors remain cautious, despite staking yields near 2.8% failing to boost confidence.

Falling DEX Volumes and Futures Premium Pressure Prices

Onchain activity has also weakened, with decentralized exchange volumes averaging $9.4 billion weekly, nearly 50% lower than levels recorded in late 2025. At the same time, Ether’s two-month futures premium stands near 2%, well below the typical 4% to 8% neutral range, signaling limited demand for leveraged bullish positions.
