Crypto exchange OKX has unveiled a new in app social networking feature designed to improve transparency and interaction within trading communities. The feature, called Orbit, is integrated directly into the exchange’s mobile application and will begin rolling out gradually to selected users in a beta phase before wider availability.

Orbit allows traders to share market insights, host livestream discussions and communicate in group chats while interacting with real-time trading tools. Users can also choose to display verified performance metrics, including portfolio returns, profit and loss figures, and win rates. The company says this approach aims to address credibility concerns that often arise when traders share unverified screenshots or selective results on social platforms.

Social Trading Tools and Market Discussion Features
The platform blends social media style communication with trading functionality. Users can publish commentary about digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana using cashtags that link directly to trading pairs inside the app.
These cashtags allow readers to quickly access trading interfaces while discussing market movements, making the experience more interactive for active traders.
Binance introduced Binance Square that allows users to follow traders, share market insights, and interact with creators within its ecosystem.

Growing Trend of Social Features in Crypto Platforms
The introduction of social tools reflects a broader industry shift toward combining community interaction with digital asset trading. Exchanges are increasingly adding discussion spaces, educational content and creator-driven insights to keep users engaged within their ecosystems.
