Blockchain-based prediction platform Polymarket is reportedly in early talks to raise funds at a staggering $12–$15 billion valuation, marking a potential 10x jump in just four months, according to Bloomberg.
Massive Valuation Jump After $200M Round
The new funding round comes after Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund led a $200 million investment in June, valuing the company at $1 billion. Earlier this month, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) — parent company of the New York Stock Exchange — revealed plans to invest up to $2 billion in Polymarket at an $8 billion valuation, signaling continued institutional interest in prediction markets.
Polymarket’s main competitor, Kalshi, is also pursuing fresh capital that could value it at over $10 billion, more than double its $5 billion valuation from just weeks ago when it raised $300 million.

Strategic Partnerships with DraftKings, NHL, and OpenAI
Polymarket has aggressively expanded its mainstream partnerships. CEO Shayne Coplan recently announced that DraftKings will use Polymarket as a clearinghouse for its entry into prediction markets.
The National Hockey League (NHL) has signed multiyear deals with both Polymarket and Kalshi, naming them official prediction market partners — a major step in legitimizing the industry.
On Wednesday, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s project, World (formerly Worldcoin), said it will integrate Polymarket into its digital identity app, World App, allowing users to participate in prediction markets using World ID.
Interest in on-chain prediction markets has hit record highs. Data from Dune Analytics (via Dunedata) shows that weekly trading volumes surpassed $2 billion for the first time in mid-October.
Polymarket dominated the sector with over $1 billion in weekly volume, capturing 52.3% of total activity, while Kalshi accounted for $950 million (47%).
The explosive growth underscores how prediction markets are becoming a core component of blockchain-based finance, attracting institutional investors, traditional brands, and tech giants alike.
