Robinhood Expands Into Tokenized U.S. Equities for EU Users

Robinhood, the popular online brokerage platform, has announced a major expansion into tokenized equities, enabling EU-based users to invest in over 200 tokenized versions of U.S. stocks and ETFs.

“We’ve launched U.S. stock and ETF tokens in the EU, giving eligible customers exposure to U.S. equities,” the company stated in a blog post on June 30.

Tokenized equities are digital representations of traditional stocks, allowing fractional ownership and 24/7 trading — innovations that could unlock billions in new investor demand across global markets. Holders of these stock tokens will also receive dividend payments directly within the Robinhood app, marking a seamless integration of TradFi and crypto.

Robinhood Launches Crypto Perpetual Futures in EU

In addition to equities, Robinhood has introduced perpetual futures for cryptocurrencies in the EU — a high-demand product for active and professional traders. These crypto perpetual contracts enable leveraged trading with no expiration date, giving investors new ways to speculate or hedge in volatile markets.

Ethereum and Solana Staking Now Available in the U.S.

U.S. users can now stake Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) directly through the Robinhood app. Staking allows users to earn rewards by securing blockchain networks, turning passive holdings into yield-generating assets. This move positions Robinhood among leading crypto platforms offering native staking services.

Robinhood Is Building a Layer 2 Blockchain with Arbitrum

In one of the biggest strategic shifts, Robinhood revealed that it is developing its own Layer 2 blockchain, built using Arbitrum technology. This Layer 2 solution aims to reduce fees, speed up transactions, and enhance scalability for future digital asset offerings.

The integration of Layer 2 blockchain infrastructure will allow Robinhood to “bridge traditional and decentralized finance (DeFi),” the company said.

Robinhood Stock Hits All-Time High

Following the announcement, Robinhood (HOOD) shares surged over 8%, reaching a new all-time high of $90.49, reflecting strong investor confidence in the firm’s crypto-forward strategy.

Robinhood Accelerates Crypto and Web3 Adoption

With this multi-pronged expansion into tokenized stocks, crypto derivatives, staking, and blockchain development, Robinhood is redefining itself as a hybrid fintech and crypto powerhouse. These steps are expected to significantly broaden access to digital asset markets and attract a new wave of global investors.
