In a continued show of commitment to its Bitcoin-focused treasury strategy, Strategy has acquired an additional 705 BTC for approximately $75 million, further solidifying its position as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin globally.
New Purchase Brings Total Holdings to 580,955 BTC
As of June 1, Strategy holds a total of 580,955 BTC, purchased at an average price of $70,023 per bitcoin. The latest batch was acquired at a significantly higher price point of $106,495 per BTC, reflecting the companyâs long-term confidence in Bitcoinâs future valuation despite recent price volatility.
This acquisition increases the total market value of Strategyâs bitcoin holdings to over $60 billion, based on current BTC prices hovering around $104,000.
Funding Through Preferred Stock Offerings
To fund the recent Bitcoin purchase, Strategy executed at-the-market (ATM) equity sales involving two classes of perpetual preferred shares â STRK and STRF.
Between May 26 and June 1, the company raised:
- $36.2 million from the sale of 353,511 STRK preferred shares
- $38.4 million from 374,968 STRF preferred shares
The total $74.6 million raised was directly allocated to acquiring additional BTC, continuing the firmâs strategy of leveraging equity to bolster its digital asset position.
Bitcoin-Centric Strategy Remains Unshaken
Despite fluctuating macroeconomic factors and evolving regulatory landscapes, Strategy maintains a resolute commitment to Bitcoin as a primary reserve asset. The companyâs aggressive accumulation reflects its belief in Bitcoinâs long-term value proposition as a hedge against fiat devaluation and monetary instability.
By regularly acquiring BTC and using innovative financing methods, Strategy has redefined corporate treasury management in the digital age.
Outlook and Market Context
At a time when institutional and retail investors alike are weighing cryptoâs role in portfolio allocation, Strategyâs actions continue to send a strong market signal.
With Bitcoinâs current trading price at approximately $104,000, Strategyâs holdings now represent more than $60 billion in market value, setting a benchmark for corporate adoption in the digital asset space.
As Bitcoin continues to mature as an asset class, Strategyâs long-term accumulation strategy may become a blueprint for other corporations considering BTC as a strategic reserve asset.
