Executive Cites Shift Toward Power Constraints
Prusak said in emailed comments that after years spent building Bitcoin focused businesses, he is now moving upstream toward the power infrastructure that has become a limiting factor for both mining and AI computing. At Giga Energy, he will take on the role of chief business officer while also serving as interim CFO.
About American Bitcoin and Giga Energy
American Bitcoin, the Nasdaq-listed miner co-founded by Eric Trump and backed by Hut 8, had positioned Prusak as a public face of its strategy to grow hashrate and Bitcoin holdings per share. His new employer, Houston-based Giga Energy, says it has delivered more than 6.5 gigawatts of power infrastructure and is currently developing over 500 megawatts of AI-ready data center capacity.
