Arthur Hayes Predicts $1 Million Bitcoin, But Picks Ethereum for Now
BitMEX co founder Arthur Hayes says bitcoin could hit $1 million by 2030, pointing to an AI bubble collapse, heavy money printing, and possible yield curve control as key drivers. He believes $58,000 was the recent bottom and expects prices to grind higher from here.

BitMEX co founder Arthur Hayes says bitcoin could hit $1 million by 2030, pointing to an AI bubble collapse, heavy money printing, and possible yield curve control as key drivers. He believes $58,000 was the recent bottom and expects prices to grind higher from here.

Ethereum Tops His Watchlist
Despite the bold bitcoin call, Hayes says Ethereum is his top pick right now, predicting a possible three to five times gain. He calls it the most overlooked major crypto asset, still below its 2021 peak despite serving as DeFi’s backbone.
Hayes admits he’s less excited about Hyperliquid than before, saying its upside is already priced in by the market.
Trump’s Influence Downplayed
He dismissed claims that political moves from Donald Trump affect crypto prices, pointing instead to the Federal Reserve and Treasury as the real market movers.
Hayes also confirmed BitMEX will shut down September 23, calling it a decision made on the company’s own terms.
