Binance Hack Stolen Funds Move Through Unusual Laundering Patterns
Investigators at Chainalysis say the people behind the Binance exploit are using laundering methods they have not seen before. Instead of sending the stolen money down a simple path, the attackers are pushing it through thousands of transactions in a short time, often returning funds to wallets used earlier in the chain. The speed and repetition point to automation built to blur the trail.

How the Attackers Tried to Hide Their Tracks
Binance’s Richard Teng said the intruders used a self destruct mechanism to wipe their tools and traces during the breach. Early analysis from Elliptic found that almost none of the stolen money had reached mixers, bridges or exchanges, which makes the circular wallet activity even more striking.

Racing Against Stablecoin Freezes
The attackers also hurried to convert stablecoins that can be frozen into assets like ETH, shifting funds between addresses before blacklists could react. That effort worked only in part. These tactics make tracing and recovery harder, but analysts stress that they do not make the stolen funds invisible, and investigators can still follow the movements as they happen.
