Binance is entering the foreign exchange derivatives market with the launch of round the clock perpetual futures, beginning with a US dollar-Brazilian real contract set to go live Monday. Unlike traditional FX markets that close on weekends, these contracts will trade continuously through a dual pricing system.
During standard market hours, prices will follow a weighted index sourced from third party data providers. On weekends and holidays, when traditional markets are closed, pricing will shift to an orderbook-based method using an exponentially weighted moving average, rather than relying on outside price feeds.

Contract Details
The new offering will settle in USDT and provide leverage up to 100x. According to Binance’s trading division, the goal is to extend price discovery beyond conventional FX trading hours and give traders continuous access to hedge or take positions in currency markets.
Part of a Broader Industry Trend
This launch follows a similar move by Bybit less than two weeks earlier, which introduced round-the-clock perpetual contracts tracking major currency pairs including the euro, British pound, and Japanese yen, also offering up to 100x leverage.
Kraken entered this space even earlier, launching FX perpetual futures in 2025 covering several major currencies with up to 50x leverage, building on its existing spot foreign exchange trading business.
Tapping Into the World’s Largest Financial Market
These products allow crypto traders to gain exposure to currency price movements without holding the underlying currencies directly. According to data from the Bank for International Settlements, global foreign exchange trading averages nearly $9.6 trillion per day, making it the largest financial market in the world.
