Binance.US Seeks $1B Valuation in Potential $100M Funding Round

Binance.US is reportedly looking to raise up to $100 million in a private funding round that could value the exchange at $1 billion. The details come from a Thursday Bloomberg report, which says the US-based platform is pursuing new investment to expand its business. That valuation would sit well below the $4.5 billion pre-money figure it secured in 2022, when it raised $200 million in seed funding.

World Liberty Financial Will Not Participate

Binance.US reportedly told World Liberty Financial, the crypto platform co-founded by President Donald Trump and his sons, about the round, but the company will not take part. Last year, Binance was caught up in a controversial $2 billion investment between an entity tied to UAE royalty and World Liberty, carried out using the platform’s USD1 stablecoin.

Regaining Market Share After the 2023 Settlement

The fresh capital is reportedly meant to help Binance.US win back ground against larger rivals following the 2023 settlement between Binance Holdings Ltd. and US authorities. Under that deal, Binance Holdings agreed to pay $4.3 billion in penalties and accept added monitoring and oversight. Its then CEO, Changpeng Zhao, pleaded guilty to a felony charge, served a four month prison sentence and received a pardon from Trump in 2025.
