Bitcoin ETFs Kick Off Uptober With Fresh Inflows as Fear and Greed Index Holds at 71
US spot Bitcoin ETFs flipped back to net inflows on the first trading day of October, pulling in $102.7 million on Thursday after $148.7 million left the funds on Wednesday.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs flipped back to net inflows on the first trading day of October, pulling in $102.7 million on Thursday after $148.7 million left the funds on Wednesday.

Total net assets rose to $109.3 billion, and cumulative net inflows reached $57.6 billion. The move came right after the strongest quarter of 2026, when the funds drew $6.34 billion in net inflows in the third quarter, including $2.65 billion in September. Bitcoin gained 42.71% over that period.
Bitcoin Price and Fear and Greed Index
Bitcoin traded near $85,900, up 2.1% over 24 hours. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index eased to 71 from 74 the day before, staying in the Greed zone.

Ether, Solana and XRP ETF Flows
Ether funds were less fortunate. US spot Ether ETFs saw $55.4 million in net outflows on Thursday, their third straight day of withdrawals, which together total about $118 million. Solana ETFs lost around $6 million, extending their outflow streak to two sessions. XRP ETFs were a bright spot, attracting $4 million in net inflows.
