Bitcoin Exchange Inflows Drop to Lowest Level Since August 21 as Sell Pressure Fades
Bitcoin exchange inflows have fallen to their lowest level since Aug. 21, a sign that sell pressure is drying up. Fewer coins moving onto exchanges usually means fewer holders are preparing to sell, which can ease downside risk in the short term. The inflow indicator shows the recent spikes, marked with red arrows in early October, fading quickly instead of building into a larger wave of deposits.

Bitcoin was trading around $86,200 on the four hour chart, up about 0.13% at the time of writting. Price is squeezing inside a triangle pattern, with a falling resistance line near $87,000 and a rising support trendline just above $83,000. Since the September rally, BTC has made higher lows while repeatedly failing to break the upper line. The pattern is tightening toward its apex, which often comes before a sharp move in either direction.
What Lower Inflows Mean for Bitcoin’s Next Move
Lower exchange inflows alone do not guarantee a breakout, but they remove one source of selling pressure just as price tests resistance. A clean move above $87,000 would be the first sign that buyers are absorbing remaining supply. A drop below the rising support line would weaken the bullish case.
