Bitcoin Holds Near $83,000, but One Price Floor Could Decide What Comes Next
After climbing past $87,400 on Sept. 21, bitcoin has slipped back to around $83,000. This band capped the market in May, right before a steep fall to roughly $57,000 in June. Now that price has pushed through it, buyers treat it as their line in the sand. Many traders still lean bullish, and some are targeting $100,000.

Bearish Scenario for BTC
Coindesk reported, Jeff Anderson, head of U.S. at STS Digital, flags a double top, an M-shaped pattern formed when price fails twice at the same high. If the floor gives way, he expects a slide into the high $70,000s. Even so, he calls such a dip well supported given inflation and worries over U.S. debt. He ties this week’s weakness to a Treasury sell-off, with yields rising and volatility jumping.
Signals Analysts Are Tracking
Bitget says $81,500 to $83,000 keeps the market structure constructive. She would turn cautious if ETF flows stay negative for several sessions, the 10-year yield keeps climbing and $82,000 fails. Iliya Kalchev of Nexo Dispatch draws his line at $80,000, yet says fresh momentum could lift bitcoin well beyond $90,000.
