Expansion Plans Continue Through 2028
Bitdeer AI is targeting 350 megawatts of total AI cloud data center capacity by the first quarter of 2028. This latest deal follows a separate 16-year, $4.7 billion lease signed earlier in August for 121 megawatts of AI computing capacity in Norway.
Part of a Broader Industry Shift
Bitdeer joins several other Bitcoin mining companies, including MARA Holdings, TeraWulf, Hut 8, and IREN, that have expanded into AI infrastructure and high-performance computing to diversify revenue beyond crypto mining.
Bitdeer shares rose 7% on Wednesday and gained nearly 6% more in Thursday’s pre-market trading, reaching $10.20 per share.
