Bitfinex Securities Completes Record $50 Million Tokenized Nickel Raise

Bitfinex Securities has completed a $50 million tokenized capital raise for metals company Alkemya, marking the platform's largest fundraising effort to date as it continues expanding into tokenized real-world assets. The raise centered on ALKN, a tokenized security representing limited partnership interests in Luxembourg-based Alkemya Metacore, a company that holds roughly 7 million meters of high-purity nickel wire independently valued at about $1.64 billion.

Bitfinex Securities has completed a $50 million tokenized capital raise for metals company Alkemya, marking the platform’s largest fundraising effort to date as it continues expanding into tokenized real-world assets. The raise centered on ALKN, a tokenized security representing limited partnership interests in Luxembourg-based Alkemya Metacore, a company that holds roughly 7 million meters of high-purity nickel wire independently valued at about $1.64 billion.

Breaking the Platform’s Previous Record

This deal surpasses Bitfinex Securities’ earlier record of $30 million, set through a tokenized US Treasury product issued under El Salvador’s digital asset framework. With this latest raise, the platform has now completed seven capital raises and listed 16 assets overall, continuing its push into asset-backed tokenization.

Alkemya’s First Step Into Tokenization

For Alkemya, this marks its first venture into tokenizing assets. The ALKN token gives investors fractional, digitally transferable ownership stakes in the partnership, allowing the company to raise funding directly against its nickel holdings. According to the company, proceeds from the raise will go toward commercializing engineered nickel products for uses including semiconductor manufacturing.
