Bitmine Adds $68 Million in Ether as Chairman Points to New Bullish Signals

Bitmine, the largest corporate holder of ether, added another 27,180 ETH last week in a purchase worth roughly $68 million. The buy brings the firm's total holdings to nearly 5.96 million ETH, putting it within striking distance of its long stated goal of owning 5% of ether's total supply. With about 122 million ETH in circulation, the company needs only around 144,000 more tokens to reach that milestone.

Bitmine, the largest corporate holder of ether, added another 27,180 ETH last week in a purchase worth roughly $68 million. The buy brings the firm’s total holdings to nearly 5.96 million ETH, putting it within striking distance of its long stated goal of owning 5% of ether’s total supply. With about 122 million ETH in circulation, the company needs only around 144,000 more tokens to reach that milestone.

The pace of last week’s purchase matched the firm’s buying from the prior week. Bitmine has now added to its ether position every single week since launching its treasury strategy in June 2025, showing no signs of slowing down its accumulation plan.

Chairman Points to Rising ETH BTC Ratio

The company’s chairman highlighted ether’s improving strength against bitcoin as a key signal. He noted the ETH-BTC price ratio recently hit its highest point since January and broke out of a downtrend that had persisted since 2022, calling it a sign that Ethereum is becoming central to Wall Street’s tokenization efforts and to future AI-driven financial activity.

Legislation and Overseas Demand Add to Optimism

He also flagged an upcoming Senate vote on crypto market-structure legislation as a potential catalyst, along with renewed buying interest from investors in South Korea, both of which could support further gains for ether in the months ahead.
