BlackRock Launches Two New ETFs in Canada, One With Built-In Bitcoin Exposure
BlackRock Canada introduced two new exchange-traded funds Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange, including a portfolio that pairs diversified global equity exposure with a small allocation to Bitcoin. The fund, called IBQT, dedicates 97% of its holdings to Canadian, US, international, and emerging-market stocks, with the remaining 3% invested in Bitcoin through BlackRock's existing Canadian Bitcoin ETF. Rather than holding individual securities directly, the portfolio is built using other iShares funds to deliver both its equity and crypto exposure.

Second Fund Targets International Markets
Alongside IBQT, BlackRock also launched XINT, a fund tracking a broad international equity index covering thousands of companies across dozens of developed and emerging markets outside North America. Both funds are managed through BlackRock’s Canadian asset management arm in partnership with RBC iShares.

Part of a Massive Global ETF Business
The launch adds to BlackRock’s expansive iShares lineup, which oversees trillions of dollars in assets across more than 1,700 funds worldwide. The firm’s flagship US-listed Bitcoin ETF remains the largest of its kind by assets under management, reinforcing BlackRock’s position as a major player in bringing Bitcoin exposure into mainstream investment products.
