Circle Brings USDC and EURC Stablecoin Payments to SAP Users Through Tereina

Circle is moving its USDC and EURC stablecoins into corporate payment systems by teaming up with Tereina, a financial services company backed by German software giant SAP. Businesses running SAP’s financial software will be able to send and receive both coins inside the applications they already use to handle payments. USDC will be the preferred option for dollar transactions, and EURC will cover payments in euros. Tereina builds payment infrastructure that companies can embed in their business software, so they can pay without moving to a separate financial platform.

Testing Plans for Global Payments and Treasury Operations

Circle and Tereina plan to trial the integration with customers over the coming months, including for cross-border payments and treasury work. According to the announcement, the SAP ecosystem touches 84% of global commerce, which points to wide potential enterprise reach.

Circle Arc Mainnet Launch and Stablecoin Infrastructure

The deal arrives less than a month after Circle launched the mainnet of Arc, its layer-1 blockchain built for stablecoin payments and financial markets. Arc uses USDC to pay transaction fees and supports more than 20 fiat-backed stablecoins, including USDC and EURC.
