Citi Lifts Bitcoin Forecast to $113,000 as ETF Money Starts Flowing Back

Citigroup has raised its 12-month bitcoin target from $82,000 to $113,000, and its ether target from $2,240 to $3,028. The bank pointed to returning ETF inflows and supportive economic conditions. Based on current prices, that implies gains of about 35% for bitcoin and 12% for ether.

Spot Bitcoin ETF Inflow Outlook

Citi expects slow, steady buying as advisers and brokerages raise bitcoin allocations bit by bit, and it forecasts $5 billion of inflows over the next 12 months. US spot bitcoin ETFs were down $5.8 billion for the year as of July 13, but that hole has been erased, with 2026 net inflows now around $800 million as of late September.

Clarity Act and SEC Rules

The Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act on Sept. 15. Citi says the SEC’s later rule announcements eased the negative mood. Bitcoin still gained more than 10% by the end of the month.

Citi also credited the US Treasury’s move to buy back longer-dated bonds. It revived momentum across crypto and helped the market break out of a months-long stretch of lagging other risk assets.
