According to Wo, Bitcoin has gained strong support not only from early crypto adopters but also from traditional finance institutions that increasingly view it as a legitimate asset class and potential safe haven investment.

Why Wo Is Skeptical About Ethereum

Wo believes Ethereum faces challenges in capturing value as more activity moves to Layer-2 networks. These scaling solutions process transactions more efficiently but also absorb a portion of the fees and economic activity that previously benefited Ethereum’s main network.

As a result, Wo argues that Ethereum’s value growth may remain limited. He even suggested that Ether may struggle to surpass its previous all-time high despite ongoing discussions within the Ethereum community about future upgrades. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has recently sparked debate over whether the current Layer-2 model remains the best long-term solution for the network.

From a $20 Million Investment to a Billion-Dollar Firm

Wo’s crypto journey began during the 2014 market downturn when he became interested in Bitcoin after seeing fellow students trade the asset. He later received $20 million in startup capital from his mother and invested heavily in Bitcoin during the market lows of 2014 and 2015.

As the crypto market expanded, DFG diversified into projects including Solana, Polkadot, Near and Circle’s USDC stablecoin initiative. Today, the firm manages more than $1 billion in assets and has investments in over 100 portfolio companies.

Bitcoin Price Outlook

Despite recent market volatility, Wo remains optimistic about Bitcoin’s future. He believes $btc could experience a correction toward the $56,000 to $62,000 range before recovering.

Looking further ahead, he expects Bitcoin to outperform both U.S. and Chinese stock markets and forecasts a new cycle peak near $125,000. According to Wo, Bitcoin could reach a fresh all-time high sometime between 2027 and 2028, supported by growing institutional adoption and its position as the most recognized digital asset in the market.
