Filings submitted to the Federal Election Commission on Saturday show that Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress, two affiliates of the Fairshake PAC, spent a combined $2.7 million on media and direct mail backing candidates from both major parties running for House seats in 2026.

Fairshake draws most of its funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase and Ripple Labs. The latest FEC reports detail specific outlays: over $76,000 went to House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, $73,000 to House Agriculture Committee Chair Glenn Thompson, $512,000 to California Representative Pete Aguilar and $500,000 to New Jersey Representative Josh Gottheimer.

Fairshake Endorsement Strategy and Cash Reserves

Days before the filings, Fairshake said it would back 32 additional House hopefuls, with six each set to receive $1 million in supportive media. A spokesperson confirmed the PAC held $122 million in cash as of August. The broader strategy includes spending at least $30 million to defeat former banking committee chair Sherrod Brown in Ohio, a Democrat who repeatedly voted against crypto-friendly bills.

CLARITY Act Voting Records Drive Support

Every candidate benefiting from this spending round voted for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in 2025, which aimed to give the CFTC stronger oversight powers. The bill cleared the House but stalled in the Senate during a September procedural vote. Stand With Crypto, a Coinbase-backed voter initiative, warned that lawmakers who failed to move the legislation could face electoral consequences.
