Global fiat to crypto payment gateway Triple A has become the latest victim of a major crypto hack, with security firm Peckshield reporting that attackers drained more than $9.7 million from the company’s hot wallets across multiple blockchain networks.

Attack Spanned Six Different Blockchains

The exploit affected Triple-A’s hot wallet infrastructure across Ethereum, Solana, TRON, TON, Polygon, and Arbitrum, according to Peckshield’s investigation.

After stealing the funds, attackers swapped the assets and bridged them onto Ethereum, consolidating everything into a single wallet that currently holds 5,226.66 ETH, worth roughly $9.72 million. Most of the transfers took place on July 24 and 25, with the largest single transaction moving 4,140 ETH, followed by several smaller deposits ranging from 23 ETH to 615 ETH.

Hot Wallet Access Believed To Be Entry Point

Security researchers believe the attacker first gained control of Triple-A’s internet-connected hot wallets, which are typically used to process customer payments quickly. Once inside, the hacker prioritized stealing stablecoins and other liquid assets before rapidly swapping and bridging them to make the funds harder to trace.

Company Yet To Issue Official Statement

More than eight hours after the incident, Triple-A has not released a public statement confirming the cause of the breach. Security experts are urging companies handling large customer balances to strengthen wallet management practices and limit the amount of funds stored online.
