Strait of Hormuz Remains Shut

A senior Iranian security figure said the Strait of Hormuz, a route once carrying a fifth of global oil and gas supplies, will stay closed until Washington meets Tehran’s demands, including unfreezing assets and ending regional conflicts.

Crude prices climbed as investors weighed the growing risk of prolonged disruption to global energy flows.
