Ledger has confirmed that at least one affected user’s device contained an unauthorized hardware implant, as it investigates crypto losses tied to wallets bought from a Southeast Asian reseller. In a Sunday post on X, the company said it is contacting users. Investigators estimates losses could exceed $86 million across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron. CryptoBilis Halts Hardware Wallet Sales

Reseller CryptoBilis, listed as an authorized Ledger seller in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, said it has stopped selling all hardware wallet inventory until the investigation ends. Ledger is in active talks with the reseller about next steps.

What Ledger Users Should Do Now

Anyone who bought a device from this reseller and has not yet set it up should not start the setup process. Users who already did should consider moving their assets to a new Ledger signer with a fresh seed. People with information about the case can contact Ledger’s bounty program, and general help is available through official customer support channels.

Ledger said the incident appears isolated to this reseller and its market, and that its infrastructure, systems and services were not compromised. The investigation is ongoing.
