MoonPay has added Cash App Pay as a payment method for cryptocurrency purchases, giving eligible US customers the ability to fund transactions directly using their Cash App balance. The crypto payments company confirmed the integration is now live through MoonPay’s own checkout, as well as through partner platforms including Trust Wallet, Bitcoin.com, MetaMask, Moonshot, Ledger, BitPay, Uniswap, Tangem, LOBSTR, and Edge.
The integration allows customers to complete crypto purchases using their existing Cash App balance without needing to switch between apps or log in separately. With this addition, MoonPay now supports payment options through Cash App, PayPal, and Venmo, having added PayPal in 2024 before later expanding to Venmo as well.
Cash App’s Large User Base Opens New Access Point
Cash App, the mobile payments platform run by Jack Dorsey’s Block, already allows users to buy and sell Bitcoin within its app. The new MoonPay integration extends that access to a broader range of cryptocurrencies. According to Block’s second-quarter shareholder report, Cash App had 59 million active users as of June.
MoonPay co-founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright said Cash App is where tens of millions of Americans already manage their money, and that the integration allows those users to access the digital asset ecosystem instantly, funded through an app they already trust.
Part of a Broader Push Beyond Crypto Onramps
MoonPay holds a BitLicense and Limited Purpose Trust Charter from the New York State Department of Financial Services and is also authorized under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation through its Netherlands operations.
The company has been active on the acquisition front throughout 2026 as it expands beyond its core fiat-to-crypto onramp business. It acquired Solana trading infrastructure provider DFlow in May, following an earlier April deal for crypto security firm Sodot as part of a wider move into institutional crypto services.
In July, MoonPay acquired cross-chain infrastructure startup Glide and launched PayBox, a vault that allows ChatGPT and Claude users to authorize crypto transactions while retaining custody of their own assets.
