SK Telecom To Build 2-Gigawatt AI Data Center

SK Telecom plans to construct a 2-gigawatt AI data center powered by Nvidia’s Vera Rubin chips alongside SK Hynix’s HBM4 high-bandwidth memory technology, with the first facility expected to become operational in 2027. Separately, Nvidia confirmed it is working with Naver and Brookfield to expand Naver’s existing AI data center operations in South Korea, further strengthening the country’s AI infrastructure footprint.
