The presidential proposal includes fines of up to 20 million Polish zloty, while the government version increases the maximum penalty to 25 million zloty.

PiS Party Pushes Separate Crypto Ban Bill

At the same time, members of the Law and Justice (PiS) party introduced a separate proposal seeking a nationwide ban on cryptoasset activity. The move came after party lawmakers withdrew support for an earlier crypto regulation bill filed in April.
