Digital banking platform Revolut has reached a $115 billion valuation through a secondary share sale, marking a 53% jump in less than a year and making it Europe’s most valuable privately held company.
Details of the Share Sale
Shares were priced at $2,017 each, based on an internal message from CEO Nik Storonsky. Rather than raising fresh capital, the sale allowed existing employees and shareholders to sell portions of their stock. The new valuation more than doubles Revolut’s worth compared to 2024 and surpasses its previous valuation of $75 billion set late last year. It also places the company above the market value of established banking rivals, though the figure stems from a private transaction rather than public market pricing.
Strong Financial Performance
Revolut reported $2.3 billion in pre tax profit for 2025, a 57% increase, with revenue climbing 46% to $6 billion. The company’s customer base has now grown past 75 million users.
Expanding Crypto and Banking Services
Revolut’s platform allows users to trade over 200 crypto tokens, transfer assets externally, and stake holdings, alongside operating its own dedicated crypto exchange. The firm has also expanded its regulatory footprint, securing a European crypto license, a full UK banking license, and applying for a US banking charter, while reportedly eyeing a future valuation of up to $200 billion ahead of a potential IPO.
