Arkham data shows the wallet transferred around 2,650 BTC, worth nearly $203 million, through three separate transactions on Sunday. The funds were sent to crypto trading firms FalconX and Cumberland, two major players often used for institutional trading and liquidity services.

The movement has sparked speculation about whether the whale could be preparing to sell part of its holdings. While there is no confirmation of an upcoming sale, large transfers to trading platforms are often closely monitored because they can sometimes signal selling activity.

Satoshi-Era Bitcoin Wallet Still Holds Millions

Despite the large transfer, the whale still reportedly controls about 6,000 BTC, valued at nearly $462 million at current market prices.

The transaction adds to a growing trend of major Bitcoin whale activity in recent weeks. Earlier this month, another dormant wallet moved 500 BTC after remaining inactive for more than 12 years. A separate whale also transferred nearly $20 million worth of Bitcoin to Binance in April.

Bitcoin Price Holds Above $77,000

Bitcoin traded near $77,270 after gaining around 0.6% over the past 24 hours. However, btc remains below its October 2025 all time high of nearly $124,900, despite continued interest from institutional investors and whale wallets.
