Revenue Falls Short of Estimates

The company reported total revenue of 14.4 million dollars for the quarter, down 5 percent from the same period last year and significantly below the 20.6 million dollar consensus estimate from analysts. Following the results, Securitize shares dropped roughly 16 percent from Wednesday’s closing price of 7.86 dollars, trading at 6.62 dollars in premarket activity.

Tokenization Revenue Declines Despite Rising Assets

Revenue specifically from tokenization came in at 7.8 million dollars, down 12 percent from 8.9 million dollars a year earlier. However, the BlackRock-backed firm reported a record average tokenized assets under management of 4.3 billion dollars, up 16 percent year-over-year, suggesting growing platform activity even as revenue softened.

Losses Widen Significantly

Securitize posted a net loss of 21.7 million dollars for the quarter, a sharp increase from a 6.1 million dollar loss the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA also swung negative, falling to a 5.5 million dollar loss compared to a 1.8 million dollar profit a year earlier.

Broader Tokenization Market Keeps Growing

Despite Securitize’s earnings miss, the wider tokenized real world asset market continues to expand, with more than 1.7 million asset holders and roughly 38 billion dollars in distributed asset value, according to data from RWA.xyz.
