PeckShield logged 55 major attacks worth $766.5 million. CertiK tracked 97 incidents and put the damage at $768.4 million.

Biggest Crypto Exploits Last Month

Two cases drove most of the total. Attackers drained $388 million from Bitget and $320 million from the Liquid Network. Reports say over $270 million of the Liquid Network funds has since come back. Both are among the largest thefts of 2026.

Safe Wallet lost $7.8 million, DCENT lost $6 million and Duelbits lost $5.9 million.

Total Crypto Hack Losses in 2026

CertiK lists 656 incidents so far this year, adding up to $2.68 billion in losses. The firm said in a Wednesday statement that September showed how fast security risks can change.
