New Product Targets High-Frequency Traders

The paid feed is designed to give banks and trading firms the fastest possible access to posts from ten of the platform’s most influential accounts, including Trump’s own. For high frequency trading firms, even a few milliseconds of speed advantage can translate into significant financial gains, making early access highly valuable. Democrats Raise Ethics Concerns Over Presidential Profit

The move has drawn sharp criticism from Democratic lawmakers. Senator Ron Wyden argued the arrangement would financially benefit the Trump family while enriching Wall Street traders. Senator Elizabeth Warren went further, describing it as a scheme to profit off the presidency without benefiting ordinary Americans. Ethics watchdog groups have called the arrangement problematic, though experts note it likely doesn’t violate existing conflict-of-interest laws, since constitutional emoluments provisions don’t clearly apply to this type of arrangement.

Trump Family Maintains Major Financial Stake

Regulatory filings show a trust connected to Trump holds roughly 41% of the company’s outstanding shares. The president has previously reported significant income from other business ventures tied to policies enacted during his administration. Despite the controversy, company shares closed relatively flat on Friday, giving the business a market valuation of roughly $2.7 billion.
