Trump Mobile’s highly promoted T1 gold smartphone has come under growing scrutiny after nearly 600,000 customers reportedly placed deposits worth around $60 million, while no confirmed buyer has publicly received the device.

The $499 T1 smartphone, introduced in June 2025 by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, was marketed as a patriotic alternative to major brands and promised to be “Made in the USA.” Buyers were asked to place a $100 deposit to reserve the phone, which featured a gold design and an American flag.

The launch coincided with the tenth anniversary of President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and was tied to Trump Mobile’s “47 Plan,” a monthly service package priced at $47.45. The plan claimed to offer unlimited talk, text, data, telehealth services, roadside assistance and international calling.

Delivery Delays Raise Questions About T1 Phone Launch

Initial shipping dates promised for late summer 2025 were later moved to November, then December, and eventually March 2026. By April 2026, Trump Mobile reportedly removed delivery dates from its website and revised terms tied to the product.

Customers Report Communication Problems

Several customers reportedly complained about a lack of updates after placing deposits. Reports claim support representatives repeatedly changed estimated shipping dates, while some buyers experienced payment or order processing problems.

Journalist Joseph Cox, who investigated the issue, reportedly faced billing errors and never received shipping information despite receiving confirmation emails.

The delays have raised concerns among buyers who continue waiting for a product that remains unavailable nearly a year after launch.
