Trump Iran Deal Conditions Focus on Nuclear Program and Strait of Hormuz

In a statement shared Friday, Trump said Iran must permanently agree not to develop or possess a nuclear weapon. He described this as a non negotiable condition for any agreement moving forward.

Another major demand centers on the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes. Trump said the waterway must reopen immediately for unrestricted global shipping with no tolls or disruptions. The route remains critical for energy exports and international trade.

Trump also stated that a U.S. naval blockade in the Gulf of Oman could be lifted, though he suggested this would depend on Iran meeting the proposed conditions. He further said enriched nuclear material linked to previous Iranian facilities would be removed and destroyed in coordination with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Trump added that no financial exchanges would take place for now, while confirming discussions over other less significant issues had already advanced. The final decision is expected after a Situation Room meeting at the White House.
