Warsh previously served as a Federal Reserve governor from 2006 to 2011 under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. In recent years, he has been affiliated with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Warsh has expressed openness toward Bitcoin, describing it as a significant financial innovation rather than a threat to stability. In past interviews, he suggested the crypto can act as a market signal for policymakers and compared its appeal among younger investors to gold.
