Trump Warns of Missile Strikes on Iran Over Alleged Assassination Threat

President Donald Trump said Friday he has ordered the US military to be prepared to launch strikes against Iran if the Iranian government carries out or attempts to assassinate him. The warning came in a post on Truth Social, where Trump described the response as already prepared and waiting.

“1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!” Trump wrote.

Warning Follows Reported Intelligence on Assassination Plot

The statement comes amid reports that Israel shared intelligence with Washington suggesting Iran had developed a plan targeting Trump. Tensions between the two countries have been escalating in recent weeks, with the warning marking one of the most direct threats issued by Trump against Iran to date.

Neither the Iranian government nor its state media had issued an immediate response to Trump’s remarks at the time of publication. The comments add another layer of uncertainty to an already tense standoff between Washington and Tehran, coming just days after Trump attended the NATO leaders summit in Ankara, Turkey.
