Trump also warned that if a deal is not reached and the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened immediately, the United States could target Iran’s power plants, oil wells, desalination facilities, and Kharg Island. He described such actions as retaliatory measures tied to past attacks on US troops, signaling continued military pressure alongside negotiations.
