Wyoming Adds Chainlink Proof of Reserve to Boost Transparency for Its State Stablecoin
Wyoming is expanding its partnership with Chainlink, adopting Proof of Reserve technology to give near real time, onchain verification of the reserves backing its Frontier Stable Token, known as FRNT. This builds on last month's move shifting FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol.

Wyoming is expanding its partnership with Chainlink, adopting Proof of Reserve technology to give near real time, onchain verification of the reserves backing its Frontier Stable Token, known as FRNT. This builds on last month’s move shifting FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol.
Stronger Backing for Reserve Checks
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission said the new system pairs independent audits with automated onchain checks, closing gaps between reporting periods. Executive Director Anthony Apollo said the move sets a new transparency standard for public-sector digital assets.
How Verification Works
The Network Firm will audit FRNT’s reserves under AICPA standards, while Chainlink publishes verified data onchain continuously. Wyoming is also adopting Secure Mint, a feature requiring reserves to match or exceed token supply before new coins can be issued, guarding against infinite-mint risks.
FRNT launched in January as the first state-issued stablecoin in the US, backed by dollars and short-term Treasuries, with reserve income supporting Wyoming’s school funding program.
