What The Upgrade Changes

The feature would allow multiple transactions to be grouped into one atomic action, meaning they all succeed or all fail together, removing the risk of partial or failed transfers. For example, two parties swapping tokens could ensure both sides of the exchange complete simultaneously rather than risking one payment going through without the other. Wallets and marketplaces could also use the feature to process a customer payment and platform fee together in a single step.

Validator Support And Security Fixes

As of a Tuesday snapshot, 27 of 35 trusted validators, about 77%, backed the change. XRP Ledger requires 80% support to activate any amendment, meaning a single additional vote would start the 14-day activation window, during which support must hold steady. The push follows a technical review by Ripple’s developer arm detailing 11 bug fixes related to signatures, authorization checks and potential server crashes. One flaw, rated critical by a security firm, could have let an attacker misuse a user’s signed permission to execute unintended transactions. The review involved senior engineers, two independent security audits and a public security contest.

RippleX says commercial projects are already lined up to use the feature once live, though it has not named which companies.
